A fall landscape reminiscent of earlier Hudson River School paintings picturing the vivid fall colors of the northern New Jersey hills. The label on the back describes the painting as “On the Rockaway River, Denville looking north below Town Bridge, Bald Hill in Back Ground.” The inscription on the stretcher reads: “On the Rockaway.” This painting recently sold on eBay as a ‘Vintage Hudson River School’ painting.
